The Ibis connection

So, you'll probably be wondering about all the Ibis Mojo stuff on the Blog.

Brad is the workshop manager at The Bike Chain Edinburgh (TBC) and has contacts at 2Pure, the cycling product distributor of all things wonderful. On the product list at 2Pure are Ibis, who make beautifully hand crafted carbon MTB frames in the USA that are known by their iconic shape, and innovative frame and suspension designs. If you click the link on the right, it will take you to the virtual bike builder where you too can spend hours playing with your "perfect build".

When 2Pure heard about our trip they offered to lend us an Ibis Mojo HD 160 each to "try out". I didn't actually believe it until I was on my way home from the warehouse with a HD on the roof of my car, along with the promise of some parts, clothing and nutrition support - Thank you very much Kylie!

Over the next few days we'll be putting up packing lists, the HD bike specs, first ride impressions (I managed a quick hack on the weekend) and general blurb about how the prep is going.

However, it's important to note that we'll be "keeping it real" when commenting on the performance of various bits of kit. The support from 2Pure is very friendly and we are under no pressure to write or say anything that is not our own opinion. Just the way we like it!
